Ending Off September ……

As tweeted minutes ago, time files when you least want it to …… we’ve come to the end of yet another quarter again …… Back home early tonight after branch meeting @ Parkview Head Office + a short trip to Chinatown to settle some paperwork …… so the best way to wind down the evening + month is to catch up on some overdue writing/blogging 🙂

Came across this phrase that I thought is an excellent motivator itself …..

“Watch your thoughts, for they become words, Choose your words, for they become actions. Understand your actions, for they become habits. Study your habits, for they will become your character. Develop your character, for it becomes your destiny.”

— Oliver Wendell Holmes

I do generally agree that our actions (spoken & unspoken) and our daily habits shape our character and the way we live our lives. The small little things that we do that lead to the big things I guess …… Time to reflect upon the things we have been doing and how we have been leading our lives ……

And that reminds me, this ‘poem’ or rather motivational phrase – I 1st heard it during last year’s Bali Branch Retreat …… And since I did not post any travel blogs/pictures on Bali (as trip was immediately after my Hong Kong trip last year, here are 2 of my favourite photos from the trip ……

Girl running along the beach …… This was taken before our seafood dinner @ Jinbaran Bay on the 2nd day of the trip ……

Sunset @ Tanah Lot …… Adapting the info from wikipedia, Tanah Lot is home to a pilgrimage temple, or rather a sea temple made of rock formations …… and boasts a fantastic clear view of the sunset (which sets rather early from 5+ till 630pm) ……
